Newport Bathroom Renovation

The client wanted to transform their Newport bathroom into a bold, design-led retreat that felt genuinely unique — a space with real personality that moved well beyond the expected. The brief called for a statement feature that would anchor the room, combined with warm, natural materials and a considered colour palette that felt luxurious without being cold.
We delivered a complete bathroom transformation centred around a striking large-format botanical feature tile, used floor-to-ceiling across the wet wall, freestanding bath surround, shower recess, and built-in niche. The standout achievement of this project is the precision of the tile layout — the botanical pattern runs continuously and seamlessly around every corner and into the niche, requiring meticulous planning and expert installation. The remainder of the space was finished in a warm, neutral large-format porcelain tile to let the feature wall breathe. A custom floating double vanity in fluted timber with a white stone benchtop houses two blush pink round vessel basins, each served by a wall-mounted matte black mixer. Twin rounded-square mirrors sit above the vanity flanked by warm vertical sconce lighting, with under-vanity LED strip lighting adding a soft ambient glow. A freestanding white bath with a matte black wall-mounted bath filler sits against the botanical feature wall, with a reeded glass shower screen enclosing the shower zone. Matte black finishes are carried consistently throughout — from the shower rail and hand shower to the towel bars, toilet roll holder, and a wall-hung back-to-wall toilet suite set within the feature wall. The result is a bathroom that is as considered in its details as it is bold in its design — a genuine one-of-a-kind space.
